Texas church shooting: 'Half the congregation is gone'
On the 5th November 2017, members of a church in Texas were unknowingly attacked by a gunman who opened fire at the church.
According to authorities it is believed that the man escaped a mental health facility five years ago after sneaking guns onto an Air Force base and making threats against commanders, according to a police report.

Some of the survivors of the attack have spoken about what took place that day.
One survivor is Rosa Solis, who was shot in the arm during the attack at the Baptist Church and played dead whilst hiding underneath a bench.
She says he was walking up and down the centre aisle of the church firing at least 450 rounds at the parishioners.

She also said she heard the voices of children and their parents shouting, screaming and crying and that she saw a lot of bodies and lots of blood.
She even said she didn't dare to move or else he would kill her too.
The victims who died were from babies to elderly including teenagers and young adults.
This has been another attack this year that has left people in a very emotional moment even though it is approaching Christmas time where everyone is meant to be happy but instead are mourning the loss of people they love.
