WEEKLY NEWS- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry engaged
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle engaged
Yesterday, Monday 27th November 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were engaged and are to get married in spring 2018.
The news was announced by Prince Charles, Prince Harry's Father who is soon to become Meghan Markle's Father-in-law.
After a year of dating, they have finally decided to get married.
Shortly after the news broke out, people have already started making souvenirs for the engagement and are yet to make many more for the wedding.
Earlier today (Tuesday 28th November), the news was confirmed about when and where the wedding shall take place, it has been set for May 2018 and will take place at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Before Meghan gets married to Prince Harry, she is to be baptized in the Church of England and will become a British Citizen.
It is said that St George's Chapel was the venue for a service of prayer and dedication after Harry's father, the Prince of Wales, married the Duchess of Cornwall at the Windsor Guildhall in 2005. (so it is a very sentimental place to him)
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, said she is happy for the couple and wishes them the best of luck.
This wedding seems like it is going to be even bigger than William and Kate's wedding as Prince Harry said he would like everyone to be part of their wedding.
Which shows that although he wants the wedding to be about him and Meghan, he wants everyone to feel welcome.
The wedding will bring all nations from around the world, together, especially America uniting with England on that particular day.
As well as Meghan being an American Citizen/Actress and soon to become the wife of Prince Harry, she is also the first mixed race person to become a member of the Royal Family.
This couple shall hopefully bring society together and help get rid of the stereotypes that exist today.
