'SENSELESS VIOLENCE'
London knife crime 2018 – London stabbings
This month brought the country to a standstill as there was a huge increase in knife attacks across London.
According to the Metropolitan Police, London's murder rate is more than the murder rate of New York.
According to an updated version of the statistics for crime in the UK, knife crime has risen by 21% across in England and Wales to a 6 year high with almost 37,000 offences recorded by police up to September 2017.
Amongst the people killed this year, there were teenagers aged 20 and below.
From looking at the recent stabbings, the total number of people who have been killed from both stabbings and knife attacks is up to 60.

When looking at this situation, it seems as if these attacks
were carried in order to let government as well as the public become more aware
about the issue of there being not enough support and help given to the youth.
However, these attacks have been carried in previous years,
but not at the rate at which these attacks have taken place and according to
the public, it is not something new.
In my opinion, it’s quite shocking to see the amount of
lives that been taken away (when they were killed for no reason), especially
since it’s a new year and we have not even ended the yet.
It’s rather disappointing to see the government wanting to
take more serious action now about knife and gun crimes as compared to previous
years, especially when they have known about how serious these crimes are, but
it’s not just about the government needing to take serious action about those
crimes, they should also think about ways to help the youth and stop them
getting involved in crime such as re-introducing youth clubs, offering more
support services and giving more in depth advice to youth about what they want
or could do after leaving education.

You included the link to the article, but you also could have talked about the actual article itself and about any biases they had. You also could have provided examples of the stabbings. But overall it’s a good post
