Tide print advert Technical codes The mode of address is very direct to its audience who are women from the use of the graphics on the advert such as the repetition of the word women. The lighting and colour used on the advert are bright and bold which could symbolise the effect of the product because it was made to help all housewives across America. The key words are highlighted in red to show the unique selling point of the product which is ‘Tide gets the washing cleaner, whiter and brighter. The 50’s was the decade that came after World War 2 and with the invention of a washing power, meant that housewives could save time washing clothing by adding the powder to the washing machine rather than handwashing the product. The purpose of Oxfam is to help create lasting solutions to the injustice of poverty such as lack of water, children not being in education, unemployment etc. and have incorporated these issues in charity campaigns to highlight them to an audience so they can also participate in many ways to help them. The messages that are given off are: female empowerment and oppression within the black community in America. Female Empowerment comes within many forms in the video such as changes in dressing, ways they should act, embracing their ethnicity and being able to live the same lifestyle as a man would in this generation/ society through the use of visual codes such as expression, camera movement, camera angles, clothing and performance. Dizzee Rascal - Dream analysis The setting of the music video is taken from a TV show that used be shown in the 20th century called 'Watch with Mother'.  At the start of the music video we see a middle class woman playing a piano and introducing the song along with Dizzee Rascal jumping out of a box rapping his verse. When comparing the music video to the TV show, it is almost as if the woman is portraying ',Mother' and Dizzee Rascal along with the background dancers/puppets are the characters within a story that she is about tell (which is his story, but being told by himself). Shortly, after he starts his verse, a few background dancers appeared and it was almost as if they were telling a story. There was a difference in the way he and the dancers/characters appeared; he appeared as himself but the background dancers/characters were dressed as puppets and had strings attached to them, so it was almost as if they were being controlled

3 uses of mood boards Mood boards are used to gather images for a project to give the person an idea as to what they should include in their project. Gives hints to the audience about what the project is about e.g. the genre. 3 uses of storyboards Storyboards are used to build the events featured in the project in order e.g. film trailer. Allows you to figure out what shots and angles need to be used. 3 differences between mood boards and storyboards A storyboard is more detailed as compared to a Mood board. A mood board is a collage of images that are used to hep you figure out what genre the film is about and a storyboard shows the order in which the trailer goes. A story board is a rough plan of how the film trailer would look like before it is created and finished.

Fruitvale Station The movie Fruitvale station is based on real story that took about the unlawful killing of a young black man in America at a train station. From the movie, we able to identify representations of stereotypes and issues that take place in America, gang rivalry and representations of ethnicity. Representations of stereotypes The stereotypes that are shown in the film involve a non-married couple e.g. the main character Oscar with his girlfriend and his daughter, clothing e.g. the way Oscar and his friends were dressed, selling drugs e.g. when he met up with a friend to sell him drugs in order to get money and a young man in prison e.g. the main character Oscar. 'SENSELESS VIOLENCE' London knife crime 2018 – London stabbings  This month brought the country to a standstill as there was a huge increase in knife attacks across London. According to the Metropolitan Police, London's murder rate is more than the murder rate of New York. According to an updated version of the statistics for crime in the UK, knife crime has risen by 21% across in England and Wales to a 6 year high with almost 37,000 offences recorded by police up to September 2017. Amongst the people killed this year, there were teenagers aged 20 and below. From looking at the recent stabbings, the total number of people who have been killed from both stabbings and knife attacks is up to 60. When looking at this situation, it seems as if these attacks were carried in order to let government as well as the public become more aware about the issue of there being not enough support and help given to the youth.
